Happy Halloween!

And Kobi's Halloween costume is...A DRAGON!Lets just say he wasn't to happy when mama cut off the candy flow at 7:30 PM.So how does daddy look as a dragon? :)Tonight was very eventful. I learned that running after a blind 1 year old (hence the dragon head constantly falling down Kobi's face) is a really good workout! Mama must have burned a 1000 calories running around the yard trying to take pictures and making sure Kobi didn't fall flat on concrete. All this while mama had "Country-Folk-Onlookers" saying look at that silly woman. (Grandma included... :) Some of the things that I did learn is that having a tail attached to the actual bodysuit of the costume is a very good thing. This tail came very handy as my fearless son would run into all the neighbors yards (the pitch black ones) and take dives right into their bushes. That's my Kobi! It made for real efficient grabs as my Kobi baby ran at speeds of 30 MPR and because of that tail many bushes were saved. I think I might owe some people 1 or 2 though?? Other then that I now have a free dragon costume up for grabs... any takers? :)

Hope you all had lots of candy tonight and that very soon all you waiting families will be spending Halloween running after your little dragon... pulling him from bushes... and posting about it in the near future!

The Pumpkin Patch

Today we went pumpkin shopping and it was a success!At first we thought Mr Kobi wanted this pumpkin...until he pointed at this jumbo one.Yeah right kid!
Next we made our way to the picture stand. How does Kobi look as a pig? Well not as cute as a _ _ _ _ _ _. (His Halloween costume which will be making its debut very soon:) Next was a hayride.I just don't think Kobi had much fun??
(KIDDING... he loved it!) So that about sums up our afternoon. Lots of pumpkins, straw, picture taking and mud! Now mamas off to clean up her black stiletto boots:)

Casting Call

So some of you must have seen that Gap Kids is doing a casting call competition. So of course Kobi was entered. He's at Gap every other day! All I can say is he may only be 17 months but this boy smiles on cue. So here you go guys... the 5 pictures I have entered. (These I am sure I have posted previously:)

Did you see it? No its not Kobi:) As of October 22nd I am an official BRACE FACE! Yep people I got braces!!! I know some of you were probably thinking I had some huge surprise to share but this is something I've been meaning to do for years. So thank you big bro Glenn aka my dentist in the first picture who was thoughtful enough to inflict pain on me well into my late 20's (some things never change:) Now I'm off to buy lip balm (lots and lots of lip balm), Advil and throw out the coffee because I want these babies staying clear! Next birthday Botox! wink wink!

These two little guys have something in common... can you guess what?

*They are both from Taiwan...

*They are both from Taichung foster care...

*They both have "Yu" in their biological name...

*They both have some pretty big feet...

*They both share the same referral date (June 26th) just one year apart ...

and they both have found their forever families in America.

Just one difference... Yu-Lin hasn't met his daddy and mama yet but in a couple days he will! So everyone stop by Yu-Lin's site and wish his new parents Derek & Kristie a huge CONGRATULATIONS because they are over in Taiwan right now as we speak preparing to hold their adorable little man for the very first time and bring him home!

We are thinking about you guys:)

Thanks so much hubby for the awesome night out! For all you romantics he took me to the same location where our wedding reception was held 5 years ago. Your such a good husband:) Lets have a mama/ daddy date same time same place next week too!

So this weekend I sent Matthew out on a mission. Go to Gap Kids and buy Kobi a plain white button down shirt. Is it just me or does this not seem quite right?? Hmmm...

Since the weather is cooling down Kobi & I have journeyed to one of our local parks and come to find out there were no swings! Yikes! Whats a 1 year old to do?

First things first... start running...

and run some more!Then find every tree stump...
and take a break. Yes people we were there all day picking up every leaf and playing on tree stumps. Who needs swings anyway? Next stop the pumpkin patch...

I'm wondering if our 1st pumpkin patch experience will be anything like Laney's?? I'll make sure to post about it:)
