Faux Hawk It To Me

Here it is guys! A "how-to-video" on the products I use, the way I cut Kobi's hair and the secrets I've learned to creating a long lasting "Faux Hawk". The video clarity isn't the best. Sorry guys the setting on the video camera wasn't for high-quality but I hope all you can see clearly enough my techniques. You know me... anything I can do to populate the world with more toddler faux hawk wearers! LOL!

*At the end of the video is a rolling credit screen of all the products I demonstrated with. As you can see in the video me placing the products 1 inch away from the camera lens was not the most legible thing to have done. If anyone else has got great products they'd love to share then do tell! I always love trying new things. Hope you guys enjoy!

Hey Sherry...that video was awesome. I was so impressed by how cooperative Kobi was..man Yu-Lin would not do that! thanks for the demo...I guess I should stop cutting Yu-Lin's hair so I can do that same thing to him. I agree with Tish...write to some of the companies to share this awesome video and they can make Kobi a model. Kristie

Kobi got a cool hair stylist, not to mention a cool mommy for taking such good care of him.

Wow. He's just a kid. What's the point? Is it just for you? Think about it. He could have been spending the time playing, learning, or imagine this...just being a kid.

as cute as he looks, i imagine he's just as cute without all of that effort put into his hair. Is that for you or for him?

My husband used to have a foot-high flame colored mohawk (well it changed colors often) and yours was done fairly quick! What a happy little man just sitting there! My son is actually more excited about doing hair than my two girls (go figure) and he wants to look just like Zac Efron (high school musical) haha. Since Zac's is mostly down, it's funny how ironic it was that my husband spent so much time putting his up!. He used to do his mohawk and then sleep side-ways so it wouldn't fall so he could wear it for a couple days (there is no sleeping on liberty spikes though).

My son used to let us put it up but now is intent on having it down... sometimes he'll let us do a little faux (for church or some big family shindig). Faux's are so cute and my husband would have appreciated his kid pics a lot more without the dreaded bowl! He always calls his mom on what was she thinking.

One product you may want to try is by the Sexy Hair product line called "Hard Up" (for short hair styles). It's super hard holding gel (blue) and no white flakes either. It's pretty gooey so make sure there is water (like you don't know that). We've gotten a few guys addicted to it. haha Experimenting with children's hair is fun (my daughter wanted purple hair before so we went and got purple gel) haha

I think the hardest thing I remember about getting my booty-length hair done as a child was having 6 sisters trying to do it... but all at once... talk about crazy! =0) Sara

To the anon posters that don't have the guts to use their real names, HOW RUDE!!! It's just hair gel and hairspray! Get over it. If Kobi was a little girl and mama was working on a special hairdo with bows... do you really think you'd have anything to comment about other than "how cute!"??? (sticking my tongue out at you!)

I CANNOT believe you are using aerosol hairspray on your little boy. All those toxic chemicals are getting into his lungs - AND he's at much greater risk for burns as the stuff is so flammable. Unbelievable.

actually, Sarah, if that much effort was put into the girls hair just for playing, I would think it ridiculous. Ponytails will do the trick, just fine thanks.

And not trying to be a coward, just don't want the townspeople hunting me down with torches.

To all bloggers out there. This video was the cutest. No harm was done to kids or animals - look at the kitchen - big, open and only a few puffs of hair spray. Plus, the kid is enjoying himself immensely - look at him hamming it up for the camera. All you negative people - raspberries to each of you - bah hum bug. This is a fun mommy and she enjoys sharing -- nothing wrong with that guys!!!!!!! I loved it. Ginny

Attention Anonymous #1; Perhaps you might try inhaling a can of aerosol hair spary! It might change your piss poor attitude on life. You seem to have plenty of time on your hands. I wonder if you happened to take the time to look at the rest of this wonderful web page? I am not sure you did! If you had, you would have seen Kobi playing outside enjoying the zoo, birthday parties, and many other activities! So the kid likes having his hair done. What is the crime in that? At least he is not sitting in front of a T.V. while his partents ignore him thinking of only themselves, like so many other parents these days. Maybe you should find some of them to voice your unwanted opinion too! Have a wonderful day and may god bless you!

Oh... Sherry..Shery. This video is so cute! Kobi should get a model-baby-citizen award!! I was so impressed by his ability to stay focused and patient while his mama worked hard to get the best faux hwak!

My second thought was that you are soo ready for a baby girl (wink-wink)!! There is only so much you can do with a boy's hair! LOL....
