Happy 6 Months Baby!

I can not believe it has already been 6 months since the day Kobi was placed in our arms! He has changed so much in such a short time. He is crawling at "warp-speed", is finally saying mom, has 4 more teeth coming in all at once (this will be a total of 12!) and has me visiting Gap Kids on a weekly basis:) His new favorite foods are waffles with syrup and anything Italian! What can I say... he takes after his father:)

These days we are working on hugs and kisses. I love being greeted by Kobi's hugs on Sunday morning. Its more like...hug, kiss, hug, kiss, SMACK but we are working on that one:) Apparently I do not wake up fast enough for baby Kobi!

I love his little Eskimo kisses to!

Looking back now I can not believe the stress my body endured during Kobi's adoption! The endless nights of staring at EVA Air looking for cheap tickets to hop a plane and fly over. The panic attacks that would randomly come about while I was thinking about anything but Kobi's adoption and the hours I spent on collecting paperwork and re-reading paperwork and praying that everything was going to workout alright. Saturday marked our finally post-placement and I gotta tell you it was the best feeling in the whole world. (You know minus, Wedding Day, Gotcha Day...those kind-of days:) To finally check that off our list was a great accomplishment! To know that Matthew and I have had him for as long as what the Taiwan court process took (at least for us) is just an amazing feeling! This has also brought back many feelings of what it was like to wait and wait and wait for the referral call, the travel call, just to hear word of anything. I am feeling for all you waiting families right now. So I hope you all enjoy Kobi's "1st" with us and keep a head up! The waiting may be agony but the reward is indescribable:)

My gosh... Congratulations on the six-month anniversary!! Love these pictures! Kobi and Matthew look like so much like father and son already! The expressions and smiles are identical!! Kobi does take after his daddy.:)
We got to kiss and hug our baby boys as much as we can now, because my friend told me that very soon they will be too embarrassed to be seen in public with their mommies!! :(

Great post, Sherry. I have been reflecting lately on the waiting-to-travel stress, too. Even when you're home with your adorable baby you still vividly remember what it was like to go weeks without hearing any news, worrying about whether the adoption would really go through OK, how the baby was doing in the foster home, etc. Congratulations on your six-month anniversary!

Here's to six months as a family of 3! It's amazing how he's grown and changed... and congrats on having your post placement completed... that is fantastic.

Can't wait to experience that reward at the end of this wait!

Wow I can't believe that he's been home now for 6 months. It's amazing. He's got such a great smile. I'm sure it's a major relief that all the paperwork, postplacements, and all that is done.
