Grotto of Lourdes

Since today was such a beautiful day Kobi and I took a drive. My entire life I have lived near the Grotto of Lourdes and never had I stopped to view how beautiful it really is. This place was created in 1858 and still stands today! Being the "Mamarazzi" that I am I had heard that the Grotto's gardens were rather pretty. So I came camera ready and prepared to shoot! Now I was raised Catholic but I am not a religious person however for some reason today I felt the need to pray. Maybe just knowing that people from all over have traveled to stand in the very same spot that I stood, light a candle and say a prayer. So here are some of my favorite pictures from today.

Is it just me or does Kobi's stroller look illuminated?

After our day at the Grotto... home again playing in the backyard.

Kobi's so cute in the grass...

for some reason he didn't want to get that right foot dirty?

Matthew's "Blonde Moment"

As a running joke in this household mama aka Sherry has several "blonde moments" in a given week. To which I usually do something terribly dumb, say something pretty silly then everyone gets a good laugh. This has gone as far as to having a "blonde moments" jar (Yes you heard me right) at bubba's aka grandpa's house in which mama and bubba will keep track of their "blonde moments" and then compare usually at the end of the month. Daddy, Pop-Pop, Nai Nai always get pretty good laughs out of this jar and now after much ado here is DADDY'S BLONDE MOMENT... (there aren't to many so I made sure he wasn't getting off easy. So here you go Bloggers:)
Its tubby time and this particular night daddy is giving Kobi a bath.
(Take note NOT MAMA!)
I hear all sorts of laughter echoing from the bathroom. Lets just say more then the usual Kobi giggle. So upstairs mama went to discover just what exactly was happening in that tub. Hmmm...

Daddy what seems wrong with this picture?! Maybe its the fact that Kobi's still in a diaper???
Whats funny is that even Kobi knew something was off kilter here.

I think that mama and Kobi will need to keep a close eye on you daddy:)

So there you have it... Matthew's Blonde Moment!

My First...

It may feel like 200 degrees but I still went to the zoo! (My 1st time!)I mainly just fried... it was to hot to chill.Checked out 1 cool cat...I wasn't to sure of my tour guides...Pointed at one freaky bird...and actually got to see my favorite animal...A BEAR!Other kids were looking so I stood like a big boy...
Then mama said the heck with this its to HOT!So then home I went and took off all my clothes. It was naked fest 2007!
Banged my toys for G-Mama...and showed her my butt! She was amused but I thought it was hysterical!

So yes it felt like the hottest day of the year and me being the bright mama that I am took Kobi (and G-mama) to a sweltering zoo. This zoo was the roughest terrain I've ever been on:) No joke! There were no concrete walks just gravel, rocks and dirt and those of you who know me personally realize that I don't own a pair of sneakers. (OK I do but I don't dare wear them in public... occasionally flip-flops:) So yes people I practically hiked my son around the zoo (in my smaller stiletto's... Thank God!), hit every huge rock along the way and needed help getting his stroller unstuck a number of times. So it was some experience to stay the least. Kobi seemed to love every minute however so that means next zoo trip will be to the DC Zoo! I know they have concrete there! LOL! I also realize now that the Maclaren Stroller was an exceptional buy! No wheels missing after a trip "hike" like this!

*This is the non-cropped picture. Yes these shoes are comfortable and NO I'm not the "Nature Type"? LOL!
